Growing up in the suburbs of America’s Finest City, shooting skate photos with friends was our way of chasing the wild. When a big swell rolled through, we’d grab our boards and head for the ocean. The pursuit of something extraordinary was always in our hearts. These days my curiosity takes me beyond the beaten trail. Whether it’s traversing vast open landscapes to observe wildlife in their natural habitat, fighter jets carving across canyon walls, or trophy trucks charging through Baja, I’m drawn to the moments that remind us just how wild this world can be. Photography gives me a reason to venture farther, look closer, and experience places I might otherwise never see. Sometimes that means standing trackside in a cloud of dust; other times, sitting silently in the wilderness, observing, listening, and learning. With my mirrorless memory box in hand, I try to capture the extraordinary moments unfolding around us and bring a little of that wild back to share. Thank you for taking the time to explore my work.
P.S. After reading the Tibetan Book of the Dead, I learned of the belief that departed souls spend roughly forty-nine days traveling through the bardo realms before reincarnation. Curiosity got the better of me, and I discovered that Ansel Adams passed away about that same length of time before I was born. Coincidence? Almost certainly. But come on, it’s a fun thought.
